The expressions for the given cases are as follows:

(a) The expression will be (11+2m) because we have to replace the word 'added to' with the sign of addition.

(b) The expression will be (2m-11) because the number to be subtracted is 11.

(c) The expression will be (5y+3) because the word 'times' in mathematics denote multiplication and the word 'added' is replaced by its sign, +.

(d) The expression will be (5y-3) because 3 is subtracted from 5 times y.

(e) The expression will be (-8y).

(f) The expression will be (-8y+5).

(g) The expression will be (16-5y) because 5y is the result that is to be subtracted.

(h) The expression will be (-5y+16).
