Honestly there's not that much of a difference besides the obvious. But also it depends on where in the ocean. If your in the arctic circle its gonna be colder but for an example i'll use the Atlantic. Both get extremely hot during the day while the sun beats down on everything and then at night temperatures drop below 0 degrees. During the day in an ocean however the sun makes the ocean evaporate ever so slightly which makes the Humidity skyrocket into almost a 100% Saturation. Ocean creatures do some of the same things desert ones do, some take cover during the day to escape the UV rays beaming into the water and then at night go hunt.
