Deccan Plateau is to the south of the Vindhya range and the Narmada River. It is a triangular landmass projecting its southern tip into the Indian Ocean. It has an evelation of 100m in the north and 1000m in the south. It is one of the most stable landmass of the world. It is drained by many perennial and non-perennial rivers. It is bounded by the Eastern Ghats and Western Ghats on both the sides.
