PHLOEM

phloem is defined as the vascular tissue present in the plants which transports sugars that are synthesised in the green parts of the plant body to all the parts of the plant to eat in the nourishment of the plant.

i) It helps in movement of water and minerals from roots to the leaves of the plant. This is called Ascent of Sap.

Phloem --

i) It transports prepared food from leaves to different parts of the plant.
ii)  The conducting cells are living.
iii) It doesn't have any lining of lignin.
iv) It doesn't provide any mechanical support
