Give five reason why astronaut's undertake such life threatening mission ?

Answer:
1. You are the chosen one.

During the last round, 8 out of more than 6,000 applicants were chosen. Do you have what it takes? Check out the requirements.
2. Visit galaxies far, far away…

Or at least get to know our own a little better. The next class of astronauts could travel to the International Space Station, an asteroid in cislunar orbit, Mars, and beyond. Astronauts on the Asteroid Redirect Mission will travel to an asteroid that will have been robotically captured and put in cislunar space. Using the Orion and Space Launch System, crew members will rendezvous with the robotic spacecraft, and perform multiple spacewalks to retrieve scientific samples for return to Earth.
3. Take robotic companions along for the ride.

Today, robotic explorers pave the way for humans on Mars and work alongside them on the International Space Station.
4. Trust your coworkers with your life.

Astronauts train with crew members for more than 2 years before upcoming missions. They bond over the tough training, being away from their families, and of course the one-of-a-kind view.
5. Bring balance to the force (of gravity).

From zero-G in space to partial gravity on the surface of the Moon and Mars and even multiple times the force of gravity during launches and landings, keeping your own balance will be enough of a challenge.
6. Have you felt it? The Dark side, and the Light.

You may experience days that are 2.9 percent longer on Mars, see 16 sunrises and sunsets everyday on the space station, and get the rare chance to see the “dark side of the moon” on a cislunar mission.
7. Captain your own solo ship.

Whether you’re doing a spacewalk to make repairs on the outside of the space station or exploring the surface of a new and strange land, your spacesuit will serve as your own personal space vehicle. It comes equipped with everything you need to survive and get to where you need to go.
