Answer:

Streamlining means pushing aside the air (i.e., fluid) in a less turbulent way. So we see this streamlining in the front of trains (engine car), as the front of cars, as the front of ships.

Comment: While most fish are “streamlined”, there is at least one fish with the shape of a box. Turns out that the energy used to push the water out of the way is returned to the back of the box fish — no loss for those slow fish.

Comment 2: While a bowling ball is not quite streamlined, it is smooth. Turns out that bowling balls dropped into water (from the air) don’t penetrate as well as bowling balls with sand glued onto the first-contact area (for the drop). The roughness helps “streamline” the ball??

Comment 3: Turns out that ships, which had been using a knife-blade bow to break into the sea, may do better with a wider (ball-shaped) bow to break into the sea. (Less streamlined is really more streamlined??)

I HOPE IT WILL HELP you

thanku for asking
