1. Tertiary sector is becoming so important in India for the following reasons:

1. first in any country several services at hospitals educational institutions post and telegraph services police stations village administrative officers municipal corporations defence transport banks insurance companies are required this are considered as a basic services in a developing country the government has taken responsibility for the providing of these processes services

2. development of agriculture and industry lead to the development of services such as transport trade and storage

3.at the income level rises certain section of people started demanding many more services like eating out tourism shopping private hospitals private schools professional training centres

4.over the past two decades certain new services such as those based on information and communication technology has became so important and essential

Hence for the above mentioned reasons tertiary sector is becoming so important in India
