if y- 1/y =9
its square = y^2+ 1/y^2 -2 =81
so y^2 + 1 / y^2 = 81 + 2 = 83
then its square = y^4 + 1/y^4 + 2 = (83)^2
then y^4 + 1/y^4 = (83*83) -2
=6887
its square = y^2+ 1/y^2 -2 =81
