Functions of -

  • bulbourethral glands - these are also known as the Cowper's glands. these are homologous to the females' bartholin glands. it ejaculates a pre-ejaculatory fluid cleaning the urethra before the ejaculation of semen. it an alkaline fluid to neutralize the urine residue.
  • bartholin's glands - these are found in either side of the vagina secreting fluid that lubricates the vagina. it is an important reproductive organ of female.
