In India, the Tropical Deciduous Forests grow in the states of Madhya Pradesh Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Orissa, and parts of Maharashtra. In such forests, the majority of tree species as well as other vegetation that make up the forest drop their leaves during the cold winter and re-grow fresh leaves in the following spring season which is also known as the Monsoon Season.

This forest has a well-defined ecosystem, under-story growth as well as complicated soil dynamics.
