  • There are two types of "seismic waves", they are surface waves and body waves.
  • Surface waves travel across the "surface of the earth", while body waves travel through the Earth.
  • Body waves, which is of two types, such as "primary waves" (P waves) and "secondary waves" (S waves). Thus, L- waves do not have shadow zone.
