hence, writting equation y=3 in terms of x and y

y = 3

0 + y = 3

or 0.x + y = 3 (-1)

put x = 0 in (1) we get

0(0)+ y = 3

0+y= 3

y = 3

put x = 1 in 1 we get

0(1) + y = 3

y = 3

so point is (1,3)

hence, we say that in two variables , y = 3 is line which is parrallel to x
