Leadership is an attitude.

A leader is constantly thinking about how he can motivate, encourage and make a creative atmosphere around the classroom, workplace, or even at home.

Contrary to popular belief, leaders are born, not made. You cannot develop a love for people around you after your formative years (0-5 or 6), however you try. It has to be inculcated from the beginning or your life. It must come from within. So, even if a leader is not in a "position" of a leader, you can easily spot such people as they are more influential than anybody in that group. They do not bend to the person in the "leadership position" but instead focus on taking everybody's opinion and view.

They always comes up with a pragmatic solution, then invites everyone to improve upon it. Their leadership qualities are the core motive for their "leader-like" actions.

While taking important decisions, they trust both their instinct and  logic and take decisions accordingly.

Most of all, their actions reflect humility, a quality which every true leader holds in utmost importance. They dislike narcissists, but don't hate them. They love everybody and will not leave anyone behind, although they do know when to give up on people who are not open to change.

Hope this helps,
