Give journal entries to rectify the following errors:
i) Rs. 2,000 paid to Arun for salary were debited to his personal account.
ii) Rs. 1,000 paid for rent wrongly debited to landlord's A/c
iii)Goods amounting to Rs. 2,500 have been purchased on credit but no entry has been
made in the books.
(iv) Goods sold to Ramlal on credit for Rs. 3,000 was recorded in sales book as Rs. 300,
(v) No entry has been made for purchase returns of Rs. 100.
(vi) A credit purchase from Rajesh for Rs. 800 has been wrongly passed through the
sales book​

Solution :-

i) Rs. 2,000 paid to Arun for salary were debited to his personal account.

Salary A/c Dr. Rs.2,000

To Arun Rs.2,000

ii) Rs. 1,000 paid for rent wrongly debited to landlord's A/c

Rent A/c Dr. Rs.1,000

To landlord's A/c. Rs.1,000

Purchase A/c. Dr. Rs.2,500

To creditor A/c. Rs.2,500
