Adipose tissue is abundant below the skin between the internal organs (e.g.around the kidney) and in yellow bone marrow.
FUNCTION:-
1- serves as a fat reserviour
2-provides shape to the limbs and the body.
3- acts as a insulator... being a poor conductor of heat its reduces heat loss from bodies i.e. , it regulate body temperature
