If the charge in a capacitor is maximum, there is no current in the circuit and the energy stored in the inductor is zero then,

Total energy = U = Electric energy = ½ Q^2/C

Since the total energy = electric energy = magnetic energy

Magnetic Energy = ½ Q^2/C

U = ½ Q^2/C + ½ Q^2/C

U = Q^2/C
