it meant that if we use one hand we would have more load and we use two hands then the load would be divided into two parts that of course would be easy

According to me by these lines the writer wants to explain that there is power in unity.If we want to do a tough work then we may be able to do it or we may not be able to do it but if we add more people with us we may get better ideas about doing a task.If we need to lift a heavy object then we need to have two or more people with us so that there is more power and as we share task the pressure gets divided and the task is completed successfully.We need to share our problems as well as happiness because there is unity in diversity.
