and the total height of tower and flagstaff is 10 + x m
let the distance between the man and tower be h m
10 +x/h= tan30°
10+x/h=1/ root 3
(10+x)root 3= h--------(i)
10 /h = tan 60°
10/h=root3
h root 3 =10
h=10 / root 3
on putting h value in (i) equation
(10 +x)root 3=10/root3
(10+x)3=10
30 +3x= 10
3x =30
x=10
