Explanation:

a) The sun is called the ultimate source of energy because it is the source of almost all energies of the earth. Plants convert light energy from the sun into chemical energy (food) by the process of photosynthesis.

b) When the stomata of a leaf are blocked, the process of "photosynthesis" stops and so does the gaseous exchange and water vapour exchange. The leaf dies out of suffocation and unavailability of food.

c) The leaf is known as the food factory of the plant because chloroplast and chlorophyll are mainly found in the leaves of the plant that absorbs the sun's energy and the synthesis of organic nutrients that help plants to do photosynthesis and make food for the plant.
