Hey there !

So the maximum area that can get wet is Range in this case. So we get,

Range = V² Sin 2Ф / g

But here we assume the ground to be wet is of Maximum value.

So it would be Maximum Range which is V² / g

So the area gets wet is of the form of circle. So area of circle = Area wet

=> πR² = Wet area

R = v² / g

=> Area = π ( v² / g )²²

=> Area = πv⁴ / g²

Hence the area that will get wet is πv⁴ / g².

Hope my answer helped !
