The major disadvantage of HYV seed are bigger requirement of irrigation facilities,pesticides,chemical fertilizers . Good production of crop from HYV seed is possible only if we put large amount of fertilizers,pesticides to the field but excessive amount of these things results in degradation of fertlity of the soil.Moreover most of farmers are poor and own very small poece of land so they can't afford to buy HYV seeds.



Farming activities in village Palampur is agriculture. Most of the people in Palampur are engaged in Agriculture.

Non-farming activities in village Palampur are dairy farming, small scale manufacturing, shopkeeping,transport .
