We are attracted towards the earth due to gravity of earth or in simple wordsforce of attraction of earth. Basicallygravitational force is the forcebetween any two objects. The objects can be microscopic or macroscopic.

for e.g :- birth of stars, controlling the solar system as well as the whole universe.

=> It is always attractive in nature.

=> It is medium independent.

=> It does not depend upon the presence or absence of other bodies.

=> It is a long range force.

=> Magnitude of the gravitational force is very small and can be neglected in the case of light bodies.
