Gandhi. Known by many names. His original name was Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi and was born on October 2nd 1869. The highlights of his life were a few of his honest childhood incidents followed by the struggle in Africa with Nelson Mandela for racial equality after which came his satyagraha and various o th we movements of peace and non violence. He was a true perpetrator of ahimsa. He lived a simple yet inspiring life. He helped us gain independence hence we refer to him as the father of our nation and MAHATMA (a great soul)
