Step-by-step explanation:

Trigonometric ratios of allied angles, when the sum or difference of two angles is either zero or a multiple of 900 . For example 300 and 600 are allied angles because their sum is 900 .

...

Results of trigonometric ratios of allied angles.

sin(−Θ)=−sinΘ cos(−Θ)=cosΘ

tan(90−Θ)=cotΘ cot(90−Θ)=tanΘ.

AB and CD are two parallel lines. PQRS in the following diagram is a transversal. If two parallel lines are cut by a transversal as shown in the next diagram, we refer as follows to the angles formed:

∠AQR & ∠QRD (or ∠BQR & ∠QRC) are alternate angles.

∠PQB & ∠QRD (or ∠BQR & ∠DRS) are corresponding angles.

∠BQR & ∠QRD (or ∠AQR & ∠QRC) are allied (or co-interior) angles.

∠PQB & ∠AQR (or ∠QRC & ∠DRS) are vertically opposite angles.

Remember:

  • Alternate angles are always equal.
  • Corresponding angles are always equal.
  • Allied (or co-interior) angles are supplementary.
  • Vertically opposite angles are always equal.
