give me information about cactus plant
ahmadraza71:
most all cacti are succulents, meaning they have thickened, fleshy parts adapted to store water. Unlike many other succulents, the stem is the only part of most cacti where this vital process takes place. Most species ofcacti have lost true leaves, retaining only spines, which are highly modified leaves.

Dear friend :
Cactus is a desert plant and deserts have very low or no rainfall. Hence, the cactus possesee certain adaptations to survive in such conditions. The green leaf-like structures you see in the cactus is actually its stem that is modified to perform photosynthesis and the leaves are modified into spines, this feature helps to reduce transpiration and also protects the plant from grazing animals.
Hope you find this answer helpful,
