Steps Of Construction :

1). Draw a line segment AB of 5.1 cm.

2). At A, draw an acute angle ∠XAB of any measure.

3). from B draw a ray BY parallel to AX.

4). With A as centre draw an arc of radius 5.6 cm that cut BY at C.

5). With B as centre draw an arc of radius 7 cm that cut AX at D.

6). Now, Join CD.

7). Hence ABCD is a parallelogram.

8). Now draw the Bisector of ∠ABC, that intersect CD at P.

Hence P is the required point equidistant from AB and BC.
