Objects are classified into three categories with respect to its transmission of Light. They are categorised into:
- Transparent Objects
- Translucent Objects
- Opaque Objects
Transparent Objects: Objects which allow light to pass through them are termed as transparent objects. We can clearly see the things around these objects if kept above another object.
Translucent Objects: Objects which partially allow light to pass through them are termed as translucent objects. We can hardly see the things around such objects.
Opaque Objects: Objects which do not allow light to pass through them and thus casts a shadow beneath it are called Opaque objects. We can't see anything through such objects.
Examples of Transparent Objects: Glass, Air, A thin Plastic foil, Water without impurities etc.
