Pros :

1) Volcanoes help in making the soil fertile as the volcanic ash that settles down helps the soil to make it fertile

2) Volcanos make new islands

Cons :

1) They release very toxic fumes when they erupt causing ozone layer depletion and other global warming events.

2) They release lava which destroys forests, houses, etc
