Munshi Premchand was the famous Hindi story writer and novelist . He was The pioneer of modern Hindu and Urdu social fiction . He made Hindi and language of masses . He is rightly called the "father of Hindi fiction" . He was born in 1888 31st of July in the Lamhi village near Varanasi . His real name was Dhanpat Rai Srivastava , but fear of British made him change his name to Nawab Rai and he wrote stories in Urdu . Finally his name becomes change to the Munshi Premchand . History portrays a real picture of social condition of contemporary times. He fearlessly wrote about the various social taboos and religious obligations . Later on he wrote mostly in Hindi in 1901 his first story was published by the name of "Sanskar ka sabse Anmol Ratan" in Jamana . In 1901 e-vetan a collection of short stories was published but the British government banned it . He wrote nearly 300 stories and most of the stories are collected under the title Mansarovar his famous works including "Godan" Gaban, rangbhumi Prem Pachisi , Seva Sadan, Nirmala . On 8 of October 1936 Premchand , the upanyas Samrat left the world his last story writing is cricket match which was published after his death in Zamana in the year 1937
