The HCF of two composite numbers will be a prime number.

For Example,

Let the two composite numbers be 4 & 6

☆Multiples of 4:- 2 \times 2 \times 1

☆Multiples of 6:- 2 \times 3 \times 1

Here Highest Common Factor = 2

So HCF = 2 (A Prime Number)
