As you see the distance of chord from circle to be 3cm and the radius to be 7cm, You might have noticed a right angled triangle with perpendicular 3cm(distance from center) and hypotenuse 7(radius) Using Pythagoras Theorem,
H
 {7}^{2} - {3}^{2}   =  {x}^{2}  \\ x =  \sqrt{49 - 9 }  \\ x  =  \sqrt{40 }  \\ x = 2 \sqrt{10}
You find half the chord to be x and multiplying by 2 you find the length of AB.
AB=
4 \sqrt{10}

gajananaswar20: those que are different
aryan0172: Not so much.
