ii) Difference between Current and Direct Current

\succ The Difference between AC and DC is

  • Electrons in AC keep changing its directions -- backward and forward
  • Electrons only move in one direction – that is forward

iii) \bold{FeSO_{4}(aq) + Cu(s)}

iron displaces the copper atom from copper sulphate to form ferrous sulphate. In this reaction, the Cu is reduced with a gain of electrons.

iv) Copper and aluminium contain a large number of free electrons.This results into copper and aluminium having low values of resistivity. Thus, copper and aluminium are good conductors of electricity and offer low resistance to the flow of current. Hence, copper or aluminium are used for electric power transmission.
