We have to find the least number which must be subtracted from the number(given) so that it is a perfect square number.

  1. 402
  2. 2000

For 402,

  • We know nearest number being a perfect square is 400. So, 2 must be subtracted from 402 so as to get a perfect square number.

And, Square Root is 400 is 20

For 2000,

  • We know nearest number being a perfect square is 1936. So, 64 must be subtracted from 2000 so as to get a perfect square number.

And, Square Root of 1936 is 44
