Lemuel Gulliver is the central character of GULLIVER'S TRAVELS.He is not only the protagonist but narrator as well as.He is the only character who is genuinely developed .He has studied medicine in England and is quite intelligent.As his name indicates he is gullible.He is a good sailor well versed in the science of navigation but is not wise or introspective as a person.Although Gulliver seems to be a simple ,regular man ,he stands apart due to his natural talent for languages.Hence ,though he may not be exceptionally brave or powerful ,Gulliver is considerably resourceful,which makes him an interesting hero for an adventure story.
