The plants which have chlorophyll and derive their nutrition from insects required for photosynthesis are known as insectivorous plants. They release smell through which insects get attracted towards them and sit on their trap and can't escape as they get stick to it. The plant then pulls the insect inside and closes it's lid and digests the insect to get the required nutrition.
