When we start with a point and come back at that point is called zero displacement.

In other words, when the initial and final points are same, then it is called zero displacement.

For example: when we throw a ball and the ball comes at our hand, the it is called zero displacement because our hand was only the initial point.

Answer

Zero displacement means when the body reaches the same place from where it started.

Explanation:

For example, you are at your home and go to a shop and come back to your home. You will be back to the place from where you started. There will be no difference between the place from where you started and from where you reached. Thus, the displacement will be zero.
