Monohybrid cross : It is a cross between two parents that have one pair of contrasting characters; for example, a cross between tall (TT or Tt) anddwarf (tt) plants.

Eg:-Mendel crossed pure tall plant with pure dwarf plant. He expected plants of intermediate height, in F1 generation but to his surprise all the plants were tall.
