Organised Sector is a sector where the employment terms are fixed and regular, and the employees get assured work. Unorganised sector is one where the employment terms are not fixed and regular, as well as the enterprises, are not registered with the government.

The following points may help you:

a. Organised sector includes all those industries which controlled and regulated by private entrepreneurs and are registered under and by the government.


b. These companies since they are registered under the government adhere to rules and regulations of the government and provide minimum wages, maximum hours of work. medical and other benefits to its workers.


c. There are some people who may not be employed  in this sector but may start their own small business, or have a small shop  but they too have to register themselves with the government and adhere to set norms and regulations.

 

d. It also includes all public sector enterprises which are owned and managed by the government.

e. The organized sector since it is registered it is regulated by government and this sector follow government rules.

f. For instance, workers involved in organised sectors   have fixed hours of work and minimum wages which is pre determined by the government. Women are also entitled to all medical benefits including maternity leave. They have paid holidays and enjoy job security. Workers are given proper appointment letter at the time of joining which includes terms and conditions of work.They are entitled to other benefits like provident fund, gratuity etc.
