Polymer is a very large moelcule [macro molecule ] having high molecular mass [10³-10⁷ u] formed by joining of large number of repeating structural units called monomers by covalent bonds .

Based on the source of polymers , these are classified into 3 types :
1. Natural polymers
2. Semi synthetic polymers
3. Synthetic polymers

Natural polymers :

The polymers which are found in plants and animals are called as Natural polymers.
They are :

Starch
Cellulose
Proteins

Starch is  condensation  polymer  made up of number of glucose monomers. It is prepared by plants by photosynthesis process.

cellulose is most abundant organic compound on earth .
Its source is woody part of plants and its available in pure form as Cotton . Its monomers are glucose.

All proteins are condensation polymers of amino acids
