Limitation
1. He could not classify all the then known elements in the form of triad.
Advantage of Newland
1. He classified the elements in which the properties of 1st element is same as the 8th element.
Limitation
1. His octave was till calcium only as the properties didn't match afterwards.
Advantage of Mendeleev
1. He left spaces for the elements which were predicted to discover later on.
Limitation
1. He could not explain the position of isotopes and give the proper position to Hydrogen
