Correct Condition-
When light ray is on the Principal axis.
Correct location-
When a light ray is on the Principal axis then it retrace it's path after reflection.
Explanation-
This is because the angle of incidence is always equal to the angle of reflection according to the property. If you are curious enough go out trying it out practically. Now if the light ray is on the Principal axis then it is forming a 90° angle on the mirror/lens surface. Thus it bounces back perpendicularly without diverging in any other direction.
