The tertiary sector is dependent on the primary sector because its role is to develop the primary sector, or helps in the completion of the activities of primary sector. For example, the tertiary sector transports the goods produced in the primary sector. Thus, if there is no primary sector, the tertiary sector would also not come into existence. Hence, for the role of tertiary sector, the primary sector is important. Also, I would like to add that all the three sectors, i.e. Primary, secondary and tertiary are interrelated and important for each other.
