a. Roots have to absorb water from the soil so have to move deep inside earth (positively geotropic) and where they get water they reach there (positively hydrotropic).

b. Here plant part is also root but these roots are found in marshy and swampy areas as there is scarcity of oxygen roots of the plants move upwards out of surface (positively phototropic) but as they are away from earth (negatively geotropic).
