*DISPLACEMENT REACTION,

The chemical reactions in which one element takes the position or place of another element present in a compound is called as a displacement reaction...

Eg.Zn+H2SO4→ZnSO4+H2

*DECOMPOSITION REACTION,

The reaction in which a single substance splits into two or more simple substances under suitable conditions is called as decomposition reaction...

Eg.2H2O→2H2+O2

Decomposition reaction has 3 types,

They are,

a) THERMAL DECOMPOSITION REACTION,

When a decomposition reaction is carried out by heating it is called double decomposition reaction.

Eg.CaCO3→CaO+CO2

B) ELECTROLYTIC DECOMPOSITION REACTION,

When a substance is decomposed by passing electric current the process is called electrolysis...

Eg.2H2O→2H2+O2

C) PHOTO DECOMPOSITION REACTION

any chemical compound decomposes on observing light energy so as to form two or more substances then the reaction which takes place is called photo decomposition reaction...

Eg.2AgCl→2Ag+Cl2

COMBINATION REACTION,

Reaction in which two or more substances combine to form a single substance under suitable condition is called as combination reaction...

Eg.C+O2→CO2
