1) Zinc + Hydrochloric acid --> Zinc chloride + Hydrogen gas.

2) Chlorine water + Potassium iodide --> Potassium chloride + Iodide

Here which Chlorine water (yellowish) is added to potassium iodide (colourless) a brown solution is obtained.
