Diffusion is a process by which two states of matter diffuse between themselves.

<>Solids have very less diffusion.
<>Liquids have diffusion but less than gas but more than solids.
<>Gases have greatest diffusion.

Examples-

<>When two metal rods are placed over each other for about 10-15 years. We will see that the metal rods are sticked to each other. This is one of the example of diffusion in solids. It took lot of time because of strong forces of attraction between the particles of solids.
