The main reason of anglicised are to spread their religion and religious beliefs across the country through western education.

their main concept was to spread their religion but accordingly they also thought that India wouldn't be able to get developed all by herself so it needed the help of the west.they also thought that if india will develop the manners of West they will get somewhat developed and it would be then easy for the Anglalicists to spread their religion.
