Thus people from all over the world are attracted by the 5000 years old civilisation of India. It is natural that the framers of Indian constitution consisting of a galaxy of experts from all over India with different cultural, religious and academic backgrounds framed a constitution based on best practices of major constitutions of the world like England, USA, Australia, USSR, Switzerland and Canada.
Thus India got a truly cosmopolitan constitution which was never based on a theocratic ideology. To the framers of the Constitution, the entire world was a family. It was the background of secular nature of Indian constitution where all people are free to practise their faith and the state is not aligned to any particular religion.
