Give one test to distinguish between dilute nitric acid and dilute sulphuric acid.

Answer:

add a few drops of barium chloride (BaCl) to both of them. Barium will react with the sulfuric acid to make the solid precipitate, BaSO. There will be no reaction with the nitric acid.
