Answer:

  1. Baby plant is embryo: An embryo is a small plant-let inside the seed, attached to the two cotyledons. The embryo has two parts, the radicle and plumule. Radical gives rise to root in future plant, and plumule gives rise to future shoot.
  2. Chemical enhancing growth of plants are plant hormones namely auxin, gibberellin etc. These are hormones just like animal ones, i.e. They are produced in small quantities inside plant body, and effects are prolonged. Gibberellin increases the internodal growth, whereas auxin increases growth of leaves, and branching.
  3. Plants having two cotyledons are Dicotyledonous plants. Dicotyledonous plants are the plants whose seed have two cotyledons, i.e. two seed leaves. There are other group of plants with one seed leaf called monocotyledonous plant.
  4. Crops growing in winter are Rabi Crops like maize etc. Rabi crops are the crops which we plant in end of monsoon and harvest in the end of winter. The crops examples are maize, rice.
  5. Fleshy part of seed that contains food for baby plant are cotyledons or endosperm. Cotyledons store food in case of Dicotyledonous plants. And, in case of monocotyledonous plants, the cotyledons store less food. There endosperm stores the food.
